Enchanting is a mechanic that allows to improve armor, tools, weapon and enchanted books.
Enchanting Ways
There are next ways to enchant items:
- via an Enchantment Table
To enchant items via enchantment table the player needs to use experience levels and lapis lazuli.
- via an Anvil
There are two ways to enchant items via an anvil:
- To combine an item with an enchanted book. This enchanting also costs experience levels.
- To combine two the same items with different enchantments. In this way the player obtains the item that has both of enchantments.
Enchanted items can also be obtained in the next ways:
- Some traders sells enchanted items and books for some emeralds.
- Enchanted items can be caught as valuable items while fishing.
Enchantment Table
One of the ways to enchant an item is to use an enchantment table. The player should place the item in the first slot of the table's GUI. Right after that three random enchantments appear. Each enchantment costs the certain amount of Lapis Lazuli and experience level. The next step is to place the necessary amount of Lapis Lazuli, corresponding to the desirable enchantment, in the second slot. Then the player should choose an enchantment. The result of the enchantment appears in the third slot.
Enchanting a book with the help of enchantment table gives an enchanted book.
Anvil
The next way is to use an anvil. Using an anvil allows to combine items with different enchantments. Also it allows to enchant items with the help of enchanted books. To combine/enchant two items the player should place the target item in the first slot and the sacrifice item/enchanted book in the second slot. If this combination is allowed, a "Cost XP" title appears above slots. The title appears in green if the player has got the necessary amount of experience levels, otherwise the title appears in red. To finish an enchanting the player should pick up the enchanted item from the third slot.
